The Message is Clear

 

Welcome to the first post of my new blog, Eight of Crystals!

You may be wondering about the name of the blog---how did I come up with it? Where did it come from?

I turned to my favorite Tarot deck, The Starchild Tarot, trusted my intuition and drew a card.

As usually happens, the card was absolutely perfect. Here's the message:

"The exploration & discovery of a new task, project, or venture is on the horizon. You are ready & willing to put in all of your energy & move into a new phase of your life. You are able to look back on all of your accomplishments & career goals, & develop your talents to an entirely new level..."

2020 has been rather unsettling...for a number of reasons.

I don't know about you, but I've felt like my foundation has been shaken. The world looks very different than it did as we moved into the new decade, filled with hope and excitement about what was in store. No one could have predicted what unfolded.

One of the blessings of spending a few months working from home was the gift of time. I finally had the time to dedicate to projects and interests that I had been putting off because I was "too busy"

I had an abundance of time to reflect on my life--what was working.....and what wasn't.

What I realized was I needed to make some changes. I had become complacent and downright lazy.. I was living my life on auto-pilot. I literally could go through my days blindfolded---it was that predictable. Even my daily walk to work was uninspired.

I had slipped into survival mode. I wasn't living my life anymore...I was simply existing day to day.

And that's not what I signed up for!

I've been a student of personal development for a long time and one of the first things I learned was that we all come here with a purpose. We are uniquely qualified to share our gifts with the world in a way that no one can replicate.

When we're living our purpose, not only are we showing up fully for ourselves & the people in our lives but we are living in alignment.

It can be scary to jump off the hamster wheel & follow the whispers of your soul. Trust me, I know!

I've been doing that dance---one toe in---not quiiite ready to jump all in---for the past few years.

But as the old saying goes:

If not now, when?

Tomorrow is not guaranteed. This year has made that message abundantly clear.

Life is precious.

It's a gift.

It's meant to be LIVED.

So what are we waiting for?

My intention for this blog is to document my journey, from here to the next chapter of my life.

Maybe it will inspire you to make some changes of your own.
